17 Children Injured During Marlborough Bus Crash

February 3, 2010 - Marlborough, Mass. -
A school bus accident Monday afternoon sent 17 students to various hospitals for the treatment of personal injuries. The Marlborough school buses involved in the bus crash did not have seatbelts.

According to The MetroWest Daily News, one school bus rear ended another at about 2:40 p.m. just outside the grades 4-7 school. The child injuries suffered by the 17 students range from bloody noses to neck injuries.

Each of the child accident victims were transported to one of the following; Marlborough Hospital, St. Vincent Hospital, UMass Memorial Medical Center, or Children's Hospital.

Though the student bus crash victims have all been released from the hospital, about half of the accident victims will miss school as they recover from their accident injuries.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's 2008 Massachusetts Crash Statistics, there were 363 fatalities as a result of car accidents in Massachusetts.

We are thankful that such a serious bus accident did not result in any fatalities. Our firm joins the families and friends of those involved in praying that their loved ones recover soon.

We understand that the Marlborough Police Department's Accident Division is looking into the bus accident. However, even while the police are investigating Monday's crash, we suggest that those injured consider consulting a Massachusetts personal injury lawyer.
