$5.6 M Verdict Against Goodyear

A Florida jury returned a $5.6 million verdict against the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company on Friday for selling a defective tire (Goodyear G159) that had been marketed to RV makers, even though the tire was incompatible and not suitable for motor home use.

Complaints Spur Another J&J Benadryl and Tylenol Recall

Johnson & Johnson is adding more products to the list of its over-the-counter recalled medications, this time recalling Benadryl Allergy Ultratablets and Extra Strength Tylenol. The latest recall was initiated due to consumer complaints regarding the above mentioned medicines, which included complaints that the medicines have a moldy smell that causes nausea and sickness.

HAPPYTOT Baby Foods Possibly Contaminated by Bacteria

The FDA issued a warning about the consumption of some organic baby foods due to risk of bacterial contamination. The baby foods in question was sold in pouches, some of which were found to be leaking or swollen, which may indicate problems with the product, including possible contamination by bacteria that can cause illness, or that the packaging has been compromised and is at risk of bacterial contamination.

A man was taken to a hospital after being sucked into a machine at the DiLigui Sausage Co. sausage-making plant in Danvers, MA, AP reports. According to the police, the man was cleaning the vacuum-type machine (used for seasoning the meat) when his head and shoulders became stuck after the machine activated.
