    AAA Giving Rebates for Old Child Seats

    AAA is giving rebate checks to people who bring in potentially unsafe child seats.  Their goal is to remove them from the general public, to destroy them and dispose of them properly.  The rebate checks will be in the amount of $5.00.  A child seat is potentilly unsafe if it has been used in a car crash, if it is older than six years, if it has been recalled or if it is missing parts.  Parents are urged to check their child's safety seats to insure they are functioning properly to prevent child injury.  Your local police station will also offer guidance for proper installation.
