Peter Colangelo, 48, was killed in a car accident last week after a Taunton woman struck the vehicle he was riding in as a passenger. The accident occurred on Friday and alleged drunk driver, Colleen Ingemanson, 35, has been charged with multiple offenses related to it.
Colangelo was riding in a car with Jacqueline and Michael Boutin at 1 a.m. on Route 140 when Ingemanson struck the vehicle and it reportedly went off the road, hit a tree and came to rest on its side. Emergency personnel had to free Colangelo, who was in the back seat, and transported him by helicopter to a Boston hospital where he passed away.
Ingemanson walked away from the accident scene and was found by police approximately a mile away and stated that she had hit a guardrail, according to the Boston Globe. She refused a breathalyzer test and has been charged with:

- Negligent Operation
- Motor Vehicle Homicide
- Operating Under the Influence
