Crash Victim Trapped in Vehicle After Carver Car Accident

A 60-year-old woman suffered minor injuries after her vehicle swerved off the road and crashed into the woods Monday morning in Carver, Mass.

According to The Patriot Ledger, the area’s firefighters had to free Dorothy Thomas, of Kingston, Mass., after she was trapped inside her vehicle following the single-car accident. The Carver crash occurred just after 10 a.m. on Tremont Street, near Delta Gas.

Thomas was transported to Tobey Hospital’s emergency room for the treatment of personal injuries. Authorities have not released information about her current medical condition. Officials continue to investigate the cause of the single-car accident.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s 2008 Massachusetts Crash Statistics, there were 363 fatalities as a result of car accidents in Massachusetts.
