Six to ten years was the sentence for Pamela Balsamo of Barkhamstead, CT. She was sentenced on Monday for her involvement in a deadly car crash in March of 2009. Balsamo pleaded guilty to motor vehicle homicide while under the influence of alcohol as well as other civil infractions last week.
As reported in the Boston Herald and the Berkshire Eagle, Balsamo was driving drunk on Route 8 in Sandisfield, CT when she collided head-on with a car driven by Erin Dufour of Tolland, CT. Ms. Dufour died as a result of her injuries.
