June 19, 2009 – Springfield – Domino’s pizza is facing a $15 million wrongful death lawsuit filed by the parents of Corey Lind, the murdered Domino’s delivery driver who was fatally stabbed in December 2007.
20-year-old Corey Lind was stabbed to death by Alex Morales while delivering pizzas for Domino’s when prosecutors say “Morlaes lured Lind to a Springfield neighborhood so he could steal his car.”
Morales was convicted of the Lind murder last month and is currently serving a life sentence.
Corey Lind’s parents say that the Domino’s wrongful death lawsuit is partly an effort to force Domino’s to change certain company policies that can put delivery drivers in danger.
