Driver Charged After Crashing Car Into Tree in Centerville Accident

February 17, 2010 – Centerville, Mass. – A Centerville man was charged with a traffic violation after he crashed his Acura into a tree early Saturday morning.

According to Cape Cod Times, Oped Woodson, 25, lost control of his car at about 12:30 a.m. while driving on Great Marsh Road at about. The vehicle slammed into a tree, and the force of the crash embedded the Acura into the tree.

Fortunately, the crash victim was able to exit the car through a window, and was transported to Cape Cod Hospital for the treatment of his accident injuries. There were no passengers in Woodson’s car.

Authorities cite speed as factor in the late night accident and have subsequently charged Woodson with operating to endanger.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s 2008 Massachusetts Crash Statistics, there were 363 fatalities as a result of car accidents in Massachusetts.
