November 24, 2009 – Millis - A 49-year-old man is expected to be charged with drunk driving after he caused a DUI car accident that injured three people, including himself. As The Milford Daily News reports, Michael Moore of Holliston was driving on Orchard Street in his Toyota Solora when he veered from his lane and struck an SUV.
Moore initially hit 53-year-old Claire McCarthy in her Toyota Highlander and while his car was still spinning out of control, he also hit 41-year-old Mark Magazu in his Subaru Forester. All three people involved suffered personal injuries, and first responders had to use the ‘jaws of life’ to extricate Moore from his vehicle. Police believe he will face numerous charges, including speeding and drunk driving.
Our heart goes out to all the injured victims in this tragic accident. We hope and pray that they all recover fully from their injuries.
