March 3, 2010 – Framingham, Mass. – An elderly woman suffered personal injuries when her car unexpectedly swerved and hit a parked car, resulting in a rollover accident Tuesday afternoon in Framingham, Mass.
The MetroWest Daily News reports a 74-year-old woman from Framingham was driving on Lincoln Street at about 12:12 p.m. when her vehicle suddenly veered into a parked car. The force of the impact caused the victim’s vehicle to roll over onto its roof, and police believe there may be an issue with the car’s suspension system. If that were the case, she and her family would have cause to investigate whether there is a product liability issue with the accident vehicle.
The victim was transported to MetroWest Medical Center’s Framingham Union location for the treatment of personal injuries sustained during the rollover accident. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s 2008 Massachusetts Crash Statistics, there were 363 fatalities as a result of car accidents in Massachusetts.
