Four injured in accident in Barnstable


Four people were injured
in Barnstable yesterday morning when the vehicle they were traveling in left the road and hit multiple trees in a wooded area. The accident occurred along Route 6, near Exit 6.

Two adults and two teenagers were in the Toyota Celica when the car crashed
around 10a.m. yesterday. According to an article in the Cape Cod Times, the car mowed down nearly a dozen trees after leaving the roadway. The car landed almost 25 feet into the woods.

The four occupants were able to remove themselves from the vehicle and were waiting along the roadside when emergency personnel arrived at the scene. The West Barnstable Fire Department were called to aid the injured and hose down the smoking car.
