General Motors Company (GM) announced a recall of 1.5 million GM cars and trucks yesterday due to potential fire risk, The Examiner reports. The recall includes 15 models of from model years 2006 – 2009.

GM issued the recall due to a heated washer fluid system problem that could cause a fire. About two years ago, GM issued a similar recall, though according to GM, the newest recall was prompted by reports of fires in cars that had previously been fixed.
So far, there have been no injuries or crashes related to the fire risk.
Please find the list of recalled models below:
- Buick Lucerne;
- Cadillac DTS;
- Hummer H2;
- 2008-2009 model year Buick Enclave;
- Cadillac CTS;
- 2007-2009 model year Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT;
- Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe;
- GMC Acadia, Sierra, Yukon, Yukon XL; Saturn Outlook; and
- 2009 model year Chevrolet Traverse.
The recalled models were sold in the US (about 1.4 million vehicles), Canada, Mexico and other international markets.
Consumers are advised to schedule repairs at their local GM dealerships. In exchange for disabling the device may cause the fire problem, GM vehicle owners will receive $100 in compensation from GM.
