IKEA Recalls High Chairs

December 22, 2009

According to The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, IKEA is recalling approximately 600 units of their LEOPARD highchairs. The snap locks used to secure the seat to the frame can break and allow the seat and child to drop through the frame, posing a fall hazard to young children. Detached snap locks can also pose a choking hazard. The CPSC has received reports of 11 injuries to children as a result. The highchairs were sold exclusively at IKEA for approximately $60. Consumers should stop using the product immediately and contact IKEA.
