The investigation into a deadly explosion at NH gun and ammunition plant that killed two people and injured one could take weeks and even months, according to the New Hampshire’s state fire marshal, the Boston Herald reports.
The explosion occurred in March, 2010 at the MDM Muzzleloader plant in the northern New Hampshire community of Colebrook. The two men who died in the explosion and the third one who was injured were the only three people in the building at the time.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration said that there were no records of MDM workers suffering burn injury in 2010, pointing out however that a company doesn’t have to report an accident unless it results in a death or injures at least three people.
Forty homes near the plant had to be evacuated after the explosion to allow authorities to examine the fallout debris.
The MDM owner, Craig Sanborn, is cooperating with the investigators, the Boston Herald reported.
