June 22, 2009 – Boston, Arkansas - Jackie D. Swafford, a 49-year-old man from Pettigrew died on Friday in an ATV rollover in southern Madison County.
Swafford was riding his ATV on Madison Country 4258, just outside of Boston, when he lost control of the all-terrain vehicle, and the ATV rolled over, according to reports from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
Despite the efforts of emergency crews responding to the ATV accident, Swafford was pronounced dead at the scene around 5 p.m.
Authorities believe a mechanical problem with the ATV may have contributed to the fatal rollover accident.
