Massachusetts Port Authority employee killed in accident

A Massachusetts Port Authority employee was killed last week in an industrial accident at a warehouse in South Boston. The 50-year-old father from South Boston was found dead around 3p.m. He was pinned under a concrete barrier at the Black Falcon Cruise Terminal.

The accident is under investigation by state and city officials, however there were no signs of violence or foul play, according to the Boston Globe.

Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) is a public authority that develops, promotes and manages airport, seaport, and transportation infrastructures in the New England area. According to its website, Massport contributes an estimated $8.7 billion a year to the economy.
