Two toddlers (in two separate incidents) fell out of windows and died in Connecticut last week.
One of them, a 3-year-old boy from Massachusetts, who was visiting in Connecticut, fell from a third-story window at the Woodcliff Estates apartments in East Hartford on Saturday night. According to the authorities, he fell after pushing a screen.
The boy’s name has not been released by the police.
His unfortunate death came only a day after a smaller boy fell out of a third-floor apartment window in West Haven. The 2-year old Jayden Reed fell after the window screen became dislodged. His relatives were at home at the time of the accident.
Our thoughts and prayers go to the families of the little boys.
We can only hope that their tragic deaths will serve as a reminder to other parents and caregivers of the dangers that unattended windows and dislodged screens pose to small children.
