A 60-year-old woman from Georgetown, MA was killed on Route 101 on Saturday, the Nashua Telegraph reports.
Valerie Beaton was headed west on the highway on a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle when she struck a guardrail and crashed. According to Wilton police, the motorcycle accident occurred near the large dam on the Souhegan River.
Beaton was taken to the Milford Medical Center by an ambulance, where she was pronounced dead.
Beaton was travelling as part of a motorcycle group, and police have ruled out speed and alcohol as possible factors in the accident. Also, police say there were no apparent mechanical issues with her motorcycle. The terrain doesn’t appear to be the problem either, as Route 101 is relatively straight at the location of the accident.
Police are still investigating the accident.
