Another motorcyclist has been seriously injured on the road, this time on Phinney’s Lane in Barnestable, Cape Cod Online reported.
According to the authorities, Matthew Medeiros, 31, of Yarmouth Port was headed north on Phinney’s Lane on Sunday when the accident occurred. His motorcycle went off the road on a curve, throwing Medeiros off the bike.
The impact seriously injured Medeiros and landed the motorcycle about 20 feet away from the crash site.
The victim was first taken to Cape Cod Hospital, but is currently recovering at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. His condition was listed as “good” on Sunday night.
Police said that excessive speed could have caused the crash.
