A 46-year-old driver who was involved in a fatal crash in Hampstead, NH, on Saturday is facing charges of negligent homicide and driving while intoxicated (DWI), police said. He was arrested for drunk driving just a day before the accident.
According to the officials, Randall Stewart of New Hampshire allegedly crashed into two motorcycles that were taking a part of a charity fundraiser, killing one of the motorcyclists, while injuring 2 others.
A husband and a wife from Salem were riding on one motorcycle, while another Salem resident was riding on the other. The woman who was killed in the crash, Marceline Weaver, 49, was riding with her husband who sustained minor injuries. The other motorcyclist, James Sousa, was seriously injured, and remains in critical condition.
According to the New Hampshire Union Leader, the driver was arrested in Pelham on Friday on a driving while intoxicated charge.
