A motorcyclist from Merrimack, NH died in hospital last week following a motorcycle crash that occurred a couple of days earlier on the F.E. Everett Turnpike.
Last Tuesday brought more than 6 accidents in one single morning, the first of which was the motorcycle crash involving a deer, in which Jonathan Simeone, 20 was seriously injured. He was treated at Massachusetts General Hospital, where he died on Friday.
Police said he died as a result of “very serious injuries” resulting from the crash, Nashua Telegraph reported.
According to the police press release on Saturday, Simeone was travelling northbound when the motorcycle “struck the deer and crashed.”
“The operator suffered major trauma when he was separated from the motorcycle after the impact,” the press release said.
Head trauma and brain injuries are some of the most common fatal injuries from motorcycle crashes.
