January 25, 2010 – Osterville - A priest was struck by a car on Friday while walking near Wianno Avenue and Bates Street. He is in serious condition in the intensive care unit of Boston’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
According to Cape Cod Times, Rev. Philip Davignon, a pastor at Our Lady of Assumption Church, was hit by a car driven by 18-year-old. The driver was a student on the way to school, and he carried his two sisters as passengers. The pedestrian accident occurred at about 7 a.m., at which time Davignon was initially taken to Cape Cod Hospital before being transferred. This car accident is still being investigated.
