Roofing Company Charged After Fatal Construction Accident

July 14, 2009 – Framingham – Reliable Roofing and Sheet Metal, LLC A roofing company based in Framingham, was cited for six alleged safety violations by the U.S.  Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) along with $31,000 in proposed fines.

The charges stem from a fatal construction accident that claimed the life of James Williamson of Hingham on February 7th after the bucket lift he was using to inspect a roof at a Suffolk University dorm fell 110 feet. A second construction worker, Greg Johnson, was also seriously injured but managed to survive the fall by jumping onto a terrace, according to recent reports.
