An explosion at a construction plant in Salisbury, Massachusetts left a 48-year-old man injured.
The explosion occurred at the SPS New England plant on Elm Street in Salisbury (see the location on the map).

NECN reported that the injured man, Dennis Chagnon, 48, of Alton, New Hampshire was repairing a work boat with a welding equipment when trapped fumes from the repairs exploded.
Chagnon, who is a 15-year employee at the plant and a certified welder, was taken to Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport for treatment for a broken leg and other minor injuries.
Luckily, no one else was hurt in the Salisbury explosion. We hope Dennis Chagnon will have a full and speedy recovery from his injuries.
Officials are still investigating the cause of the incident.
