Our eighteen-year-old client was driving on an interstate into
the early morning sun. As he drove over a rise in the road,
he struck a car that was disabled and stopped in the middle
of the road because a 150-pound wheel and tire detached from
a tractor-trailer rig traveling in the opposite direction.
The lugs holding the tire had broken off, causing the tire
and wheel to travel across the median strip, and hit and
disable the stopped vehicle.
Awarded: $ 3.5 million
Our client an 86 year-old woman sustained an injury
after being struck by a bus. The inattentive bus driver

January 26, 2010 - Stoughton - Two pedestrians were struck by vehicles in separate incidents within a half hour of each other during Monday evening's rain. One passed away shortly after arriving at the hospital, while the other is in serious condition.
According to The Enterprise, a 75-year-old female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while crossing the road near Canton Street. She was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital but was pronounced dead shortly thereafter. The driver was uninjured and stopped at the scene of the accident.
In another pedestrian accident about half an hour earlier, a 52-year-old woman was crossing Park Street when she was hit by a vehicle. Though she initially lacked a pulse when emergency officials arrived, she was resuscitated at Good Samaritan Hospital. Her injuries however, are so severe that officials say she will likely not survive. Like the other pedestrian accident, the driver of the vehicle that struck her was uninjured and remained at the scene.
Our heart goes out to the family and friends of the deceased for their tragic and heartbreaking loss. We offer our deepest condolences to her family. We wish the other victim the very best for a complete recovery. Please keep this victim and the deceased's family in your prayers.
Contacting a Massachusetts Personal Injury Lawyer
It would be in the deceased's family's best interest to contact an experienced Stoughton Massachusetts personal injury lawyer, who can analyze all elements of this tragic accident and ensure they get the justice and compensation they rightfully deserve. In any fatal car accident case involving a negligent driver, families of deceased victims may be able to file a wrongful death lawsuit seeking compensation for medical/funeral expenses and other damages.
A qualified car accident lawyer should also look into whether there was a dangerous condition on the roadway. If such a condition caused or contributed to this fatal car accident, the city or governmental agency responsible for maintaining that particular roadway could be held liable. Massachusetts has a statute of limitations which may prevent you from filing a claim against a governmental agency if too much time has passed.

How do I deal with the residual effects of a Massachusetts car accident? At the time of the accident, I did not feel any pain, however, I did later that night. I went to the ER and they gave me pain medication for my neck and back. A few days later the pain worsened. A police report was not filed and now the other driver's insurance company is being hostile because I want to file a claim. What should I do?
I was involved in a car wreck recently in Massachusetts. My son sustained upper back and neck injuries and I suffered a concussion. The insurance adjuster is offering us $750 for pain and suffering. This seems too low, especially since I'm still suffering from headaches. Do I need a personal injury attorney?
What are my legal options if the person who hit and totaled my car did not have insurance? I suffered serious injuries as a result of this Massachusetts car accident.
