February 5, 2010 – Shrewsbury - A local man has been accused of killing his wife in their Shrewsbury home on Thursday afternoon following an altercation.
According to The MetroWest Daily News, 44-year-old Keith Rosiello called police Thursday at about 1 p.m. after he and his wife reportedly had an argument in their Deerfield Road home. The victim was 44-year-old Maureen Rosiello, who was pronounced dead at the scene after authorities arrived.
According to her husband, she was not breathing when he made the call to the police. After listening to several questions from the dispatcher, Rosiello stated that he wanted to contact his lawyer, according to My Fox Boston.
Rosiello was arrested at his house, and is being charged with murder. It is not clear how his wife was murdered, but authorities on the Massachusetts murder scene say that obvious signs of trauma were present. The Rosiellos have two children, a 12-year-old daughter and a 6-year-old son. They are currently staying with relatives, though police did file with the state’s Department of Children and Families.
Neighbors and police alike agree that they had never witnessed any prior arguments at the couple’s home, nor did they have a record of domestic violence with police.
Rosiello will likely be arraigned on Friday in Westborough District Court due to the murder charge.
