Three People Injured in Hyannis Rollover Car Accident


March 15, 2010 – Hyannis, Mass. –
Three people were injured in a two-vehicle rollover accident Sunday afternoon in Hyannis, Mass.

Cape Cod Times
reports that a sedan and an SUV collided near Center Street on Barnstable Road at about 2:45 p.m. The force of the crash caused the SUV to roll over onto its roof. The female driver of the SUV was injured in the crash, as were two male victims who were in the sedan. All three accident victims were transported to Cape Cod Hospital for the treatment of serious accident injuries.

The SUV sustained heavy damage in the crash. Police have not yet released the names of any of the victims involved in the rollover accident, and there is no information about the current medical condition of any of the victims, or the nature of their accident injuries.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the Hyannis car accident.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s 2008 Massachusetts Crash Statistics, there were 363 fatalities as a result of car accidents in Massachusetts.
