January 13, 2010 – Lincoln - Two people suffered personal injuries in a rollover truck accident Tuesday morning on state Route 2 near Boston, Mass.
BostonHerald.com reports that two people were injured in the truck rollover crash, which occurred in the westbound lanes of the highway, near Lincoln, Mass.
Massachusetts State Police said that John Revene, 47, of Westboro, Mass, was injured when the truck he was driving – which was transporting a petroleum-based product – rolled onto three other vehicles.
Revene was airlifted and transported to a local hospital for the treatment of accident injuries. The driver of one of the crushed accident vehicles, Elizabeth Buchanan, 52, of Arlington, also suffered personal injuries in the highway crash.
Police have issued a traffic citation to Revene. The truck he was driving is owned by Trans Spec Truck Service, Inc. of Millbury.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s 2008 Massachusetts Crash Statistics, there were 363 fatalities as a result of car accidents in Massachusetts.
