One Boston police officer on motorcycle was injured in a car/motorcycle collision this morning as he was hurrying to assist another Boston motorcycle cop only blocks away, the Boston Herald reports.
Boston police said that the injured police officer was hit by a car at 564 Warren Street, after he called BPD to respond to an accident involving an off-duty motorcycle cop that occurred just a few minutes earlier at the intersection of King Boulevard and Warren Street.

A BPD spokesperson told the Herald that they have “two injured officers.”
In both cases, the motorcyclists were hit by cars and suffered injuries. Both officers were transported to Boston Medical Center for treatment, though there is no information about their injuries and current condition, as well as about their identities.
Both accidents remain under investigation.
