Westport Rollover Crash Leaves One Dead, One Seriously Injured

January 25, 2010 - Westport - An early morning car crash on 195 left one dead and one seriously injured after the vehicle struck a barrier and rolled over. The Toyota Camry was traveling westbound at the time of the car accident.

According to The Herald News, the deceased was 26-year-old Jaroslaw Cuzytek of West Warwick, Rhode Island. He was the driver, and was pronounced dead at the scene of the rollover crash at 1 a.m. The passenger, Megan E. Pont of Rehoboth, was ejected from the vehicle and initially taken to Charlton Memorial Hospital. She is now recovering at Rhode Island Hospital.

Though Westport Police and Fire departments were among the first at the scene, State Police are now attempting to reconstruct the car accident during their investigation.

Our heart goes out to the family and friends of Jaroslaw Cuzytek for their tragic and heartbreaking loss. We offer our deepest condolences to Jaroslaw Cuzytek's family. We wish the other victim, Megan E. Pont, the very best for a quick and complete recovery. Please keep this victim and Jaroslaw Cuzytek's family in your prayers.

Contacting a Massachusetts Personal Injury Lawyer

It would be in the Cuzytek family's best interest to contact an experienced Westport Massachusetts personal injury lawyer, who can analyze all elements of this tragic accident and ensure they get the justice and compensation they rightfully deserve.

A qualified car accident lawyer should also look into whether there was a dangerous condition on the roadway. If such a condition caused or contributed to this fatal car accident, the city or governmental agency responsible for maintaining that particular roadway could be held liable. Massachusetts has a statute of limitations which may prevent you from filing a claim against a governmental agency if too much time has passed.

I drove by the accident right after it happened. I was coming home from a show i played in new bedford. Megan was half out the window of a full size van laying on the highway not in a camry. She wasnt moving and i stopped and was in the middle lane looking for movement from her. As I was doing so a gentlmen got out of his car and went over to her. I then took off. I didnt know how else to react and i think it had just happened before i rolled up on it. There wasnt anyone else around except for a vehicle parked bend the one she was in with its head lights on her.
