January 25, 2010 – Weymouth - A 39-year-old woman was struck and injured on Friday by a Ford Taurus State Police vehicle that was unmarked. Paula Domenico of Abington was jogging when the lieutenant, who was on his way to work, struck her.
According to The Patriot Ledger, Domenico is currently recovering from serious injuries at South Shore Hospital. The pedestrian accident occurred near Route 58 at about 2:30 p.m., and is believed to have been caused by the fact that the driver’s vision was briefly blocked by a bus in the bordering lane. The lieutenant’s name is being withheld while the car accident is under investigation by both Weymouth and State Police.
