    Worker Killed in Lift Accident

A construction worker at AstraZeneca was killed on October 10, 2008 when a hydraulic lift he was working on became unstable and tipped over.  Two workers a 40 year old man and a 30 year old man were in the basket of the lift when it tipped.  it is reported that the men fell approximately 30 feet.  The 40 year old man died at the scene and the 30 year old man suffered serious injuries.  Osha is investigating the accident.

This accident is a terrible tragedy.  The hydraulic lift may have been defective or used improperly.
