Our eighteen-year-old client was driving on an interstate into
the early morning sun. As he drove over a rise in the road,
he struck a car that was disabled and stopped in the middle
of the road because a 150-pound wheel and tire detached from
a tractor-trailer rig traveling in the opposite direction.
The lugs holding the tire had broken off, causing the tire
and wheel to travel across the median strip, and hit and
disable the stopped vehicle.

Q: As parents of a child diagnosed with cerebral palsy, how do we determine what was the cause?
A: As parents of a child diagnosed with cerebral palsy you will need to determine whether your child experienced asphyxia during labor or delivery and whether or not the doctor failed to recognize signs of developing asphyxia. Many times there is a window of opportunity for minimizing the child’s brain injury. You as a parent should ask about asphyxia’s potential role in causing cerebral palsy in your child. If the physician is uncooperative or does not provide the answers you need a review of the medical records including fetal monoter strips should be conducted to provide the answers to your questions. Our firm can help by having the records reviewed and help you get the answers you are entitled to.
