Frequently Asked Questions
What can a family do in the case of a child's death?
A: We understand the devastation to a family after the loss of a child. If a child's life was lost in an accident or as the result of someone's negligence then you may bring a “wrongful death” case in court. The negligence leading to the death could be from a car crash, a defective product such as a toy or a car seat, negligent supervision in school or daycare, or in a recreational setting involving swimming pools or sports activity. In these or similar situations the negligence is someone else's – not the child's and you can sue for wrongful death.
