Road Construction Injury Statistics (Part A)
Accidents at road construction sites can cause serious injuries or in some cases even lead to death.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, from 1995 to 2002, 844 workers were killed at road construction sites. This figure is only applicable to construction accidents at a road construction site, and does not include incidents that may have happened at new housing construction or other types of construction sites.
The number of road side fatalities average over 100 people per year.
