Man Suffers Serious Personal Injuries After Harwich Assault
March 1, 2010 – Harwich, Mass. – A man suffered serious personal injuries after being beaten by 2 men brandishing baseball bats during an assault that occurred Saturday night at the Gulf Station on Pleasant Lake Avenue in Harwich, Mass.
Cape Cod Time reports that police arrived at the scene at about 9:40 p.m. and found the assault victim covered with blood. The victim-whom police have not yet named-told officers that he had been beaten by two men wearing hooded sweatshirts. The victim was transported to Cape Cod Hospital for the treatment of serious personal injuries.
Authorities believe that gas station assault may be connected with a report of shots fired earlier in the night in the area. There were no reported injuries at that scene.
Not much is known about the victim at this time, including his current medical condition. Police continue to investigate the assault and are seeking information about the 2 suspects and whether or not the two incidents were connected in any way.
