Our eighteen-year-old client was driving on an interstate into
the early morning sun. As he drove over a rise in the road,
he struck a car that was disabled and stopped in the middle
of the road because a 150-pound wheel and tire detached from
a tractor-trailer rig traveling in the opposite direction.
The lugs holding the tire had broken off, causing the tire
and wheel to travel across the median strip, and hit and
disable the stopped vehicle.
Awarded: $ 3.5 million
Our client an 86 year-old woman sustained an injury
after being struck by a bus. The inattentive bus driver
was warned by a passenger that the woman was crossing
in front of the bus but could not stop in time to avoid impact.
Awarded: $1,000,000

fractures and soft tissue injury.

Leaders of Students Against Drunk Driving (SADD) hoped that a mock drunk driving accident in front of Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School raised awareness about the consequences of driving drunk.
Juniors and seniors of the high school were required to attend the mock crash as part of a week of events that were used to raise awareness about substance abuse. The mock accident began with two cars in the parking lot covered with black cloths. Voices of two intoxicated teens could be heard. At one point a teen yelled “slow down,” while the voice of the driver said, “shut up, I’m fine!”
Next, the sounds of metal crashing and glass breaking could be heard. The black cloths were then removed to reveal two smashed cars with bloody victims trapped inside. Students could hear a 911 phone call from the frantic driver followed by shrieking sirens.
During the mock drunk driving accident, firefighters placed a white cloth over a dead victim and then used the Jaws of Life to free an injured driver. While police officers questioned the drunk driver, students could hear the injured driver screaming as firefighters lifted him out of the wreck and wheeled him to a waiting ambulance.
One of the students watching the scene said that it was very realistic and frightening. He went on to say that it allows one to see the bad effects alcohol can have on someone.
Captain Tim Choate of the Sudbury Fire Department said, “when you have a couple thousand kids and you can hear a pin drop, that shows they are getting the message. Kids have the feeling of invincibility and a drill like this shows them that they’re not invincible.”

How do I deal with the residual effects of a Massachusetts car accident? At the time of the accident, I did not feel any pain, however, I did later that night. I went to the ER and they gave me pain medication for my neck and back. A few days later the pain worsened. A police report was not filed and now the other driver's insurance company is being hostile because I want to file a claim. What should I do?
I was involved in a car wreck recently in Massachusetts. My son sustained upper back and neck injuries and I suffered a concussion. The insurance adjuster is offering us $750 for pain and suffering. This seems too low, especially since I'm still suffering from headaches. Do I need a personal injury attorney?
What are my legal options if the person who hit and totaled my car did not have insurance? I suffered serious injuries as a result of this Massachusetts car accident.
